Our main restaurant, The Kono-Kono, is named after a popular local sea shell. With an upgraded capacity of 250 seated guests, the restaurant welcomes both hotel residents and visitors. Take a glimpse across the glass windows of the open kitchen to watch the preparation of mouth-watering specialities.

Rodrigues Cuisine

At the helm of our restaurant, Chef Dhiraj brings 18 years of high-level experience, having worked in top hotels in Mauritius and also on international luxury cruise ships. Joining the Cotton Bay team, Chef Dhiraj has clear priorities: to promote Rodrigues’ traditional cuisine and emphasise sustainability. “We favour sourcing of fresh products from local suppliers around Rodrigues. This aligns with our policy of reducing plastic wrappings. I am happy to use fresh herbs and vegetables grown in our garden in signature dishes with a typical Rodrigues touch, highlighting a rich culinary tradition that is gaining increasing popularity.” Our Chef says.

Our renovated bar area offers more seating space (80 seats), decorated with crafted wooden furniture in pure creole style, to welcome hotel guests and visitors. Before lunch or dinner, treat yourself to our Cotton Bay Signature Cocktail paired perfectly with our mouthwatering Cotton Bay Signature burger, or our array of Rodrigues snacks, including treats such as octopus salad, kono-kono (Seasonal), salted-fish pizza and others.
